What is a share?
A share is your portion of a whole animal. You’re buying fresh, grass fed and finished beef direct from our family farm in the South Burnett region of Queensland. Shares include a mix of steaks, roasts, slow-cook cuts, mince, sausages and bones. The exact mix depends on the animal, but you’ll always receive a full and fair portion
How ordering shares works
- Place your order online
- Pay your deposit to secure your share
- We select your animal and confirm the final dressed weight
- We’ll let you know the balance owing and send an invoice
- Once the balance is paid, we pack your order fresh
- Your meat arrives by refrigerated home delivery
What is dressed weight?
Dressed weight is the weight of the carcass after slaughter with the hide, head, feet, tail and innards removed, but bones included. Your take-home meat will always be less than the dressed weight because bones are part of your share. This is standard for all beef, lamb and pork shares.
Fresh, not frozen
All shares are packed fresh. Fresh meat holds its natural tenderness and cooks better, giving you more flavour, better browning and less liquid lost in the pan. Your order stays chilled from our farm to your door.
Delivery areas
We deliver to most areas of Australia using refrigerated home delivery. You’ll need to be home or have arrangements ready, such as an outdoor fridge, esky or workplace.
